Welcome to The Broadview Park Civic Association’s official website. We are the voice of our community, located just west of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
NEXT MEETING – The next regular meeting of the Broadview Park Civic Association will be on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, at Sunview Park, 7:30 PM.
COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP – Volunteers are urged to turn out to Sunview Park on Saturday, April 8th. Report at 8:30 am and the county will provide bags, gloves, and a safety vest as you pick up litter around the neighborhood until 12 Noon. Earn community service hours.
MUNICIPAL SERVICES DISTRICT – The unincorporated areas of the county, including Broadview Park, are now called the “municipal services district” because the county is providing services normally provided by a city, such as fire/rescue, trash pickup, code enforcement, and policing by the Broward Sheriff’s Office. To keep up with special county programs and events, go to www.broward.org/municipalservicesdistrict. The county has a number of important events and programs. It is offering a plan to increase employment opportunities and relieve economic distress. The program offers vocational classes and training as well as employment for residents who are over 18 years age.
SCHOLARSHIP – BROADVIEW HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS planning to attend college or a vocational school. The civic association offers a small scholarship ($300) to a high school senior who lives in this community. Click here to download the application form. Applications must be returned on or before April 7th, 2017.
IMPORTANT – When calling 911, identify your home address as UNINCORPORATED FORT LAUDERDALE. This will help the operator identify your location under Fort Lauderdale numbering. There are other areas of the county, such as Pembroke Park, that have the same street numbers and addresses.
